Jesus Never Existed
by Kenneth Humphreys
Short Review by Rae West
As far as I know, Humphreys' site started on 2001-09-06, hosted by Tucows, and with its I.P. in Manchester, presumably the English one. It is made of articles by Kenneth Humphreys and is placed recently in world websites between 160,000 to 690,000 according to siterankdata.com, who don't reveal their sources.
Jesus Never Existed is ISBN 0-906897-14-0. It's a thick paperback; it has a self-published look about it, being perhaps too thick for its format, and thus not easy to handle; and having a cover not very readable through being splashed with red.
It has a two-column layout, with pictures, notes, comments down the left side of each page, and the text on the right. This layout is similar to the website's.

Table of Contents

The table of contents is admirably clear. And the back cover blurb is very clear, putting the blame for the failure of Greek and Roman civilisations firmly on Christianity.
The only questions I have relate to Jews, or so-called Jews. Civilisations before Greece and Rome fell, too; but their failure can't be based on Christianity, which of course did not yet exist. And Rome spent a lot of its force and power on wars which are widely regarded as long and pointless. With what is not known of Jewish parasitism, it's possible that forcing debt on people and peoples had a long-term devastating impact. Humphreys may in fact be Jewish, or in thrall to Jews. So this lurking worry makes me unable to accept the book in full.
