Good news! Hollywood is over. File sharing and internet video are finally eroding the movie industry's last slim margins. The Wasteland, otherwise know as Lost Angeles, is doomed, and is now the third most populous Mexican city after D.F. and Guadalajara - complete with its own Mexican mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. I love Mexico and there's a lot to like about Mexican people - just about my favorite country. But having lived for a time in the early 80s in Southern California, I can tell you that it used to be pretty much the nicest place in the world. It was bright, happy, and sunny - and sparsely populated. Now, thanks to unchecked illegal immigration, the decline of Hollywood, and overall cultural ferment, SoCal has turned into a hellish wasteland.
"Hollywood's like Egypt, full of crumbled pyramids. It'll never come back. It'll just keep on crumbling until finally the wind blows the last studio prop across the sands." - David O. Selznick
This is very good news for the rest of the world, though. It means we might get a break from the sick and disgusting onslaught of propaganda being issued by Hollywood - at least for a while maybe. Thanks Pirate Bay!
