Leading pro-hunt
protester Baroness Mallalieu, a Labour peer and the Countryside
Alliance president, was quoted this afternoon as saying
"The
saddest thing is that we are seeing the police being deployed
to protect the government from the people - and I never thought
I would see that under a Labour government."
It is indeed heartwarming
that a Labour peer should recognise the new role of the police
within Blair's Britain.
But, as time will
show, it will not only be pro-hunters who will fall victim to
police batons - but all those who dare oppose the slide
into fascism and the erosion of our democracy by Blair and his
"Socialist" aristocracy.
